Ok, I learned a new word! I had to look it up in Wikipedia! Not to sound like a total idiot but do you pronounce it “mee mee” or “mehm” or what? And what about it is ticking you off?

I have no clue about memes but I do remember what it was to be punk and this was 1979 before it was retail. So I have to laugh about the punk analogy because — and I’m showing my age here — I don’t think it’s counter-culture, anymore. It’s just a look. No Millennial can touch Gen X for attitude. They’ll have to create another counter-culture and stop aping ours.

We’re seeing it, too, at my firm, but we’re adapting rapidly, and don’t anticipate laying anyone off, etc. We created a new biz strategy six months ago in anticipation of a bad economy. All in all, I think level headed positive approaches to the market differentiate in a time like this.

Oh ok, thanks for the clarifaction that’s helpful. But really, is this a geek meme or actual news that’s being discussed even outside of “Shock” the blogosphere? I’ll go with the latter.

Now why can I make this claim? Because clients are asking me to find out answers and how they should change budgets –this isn’t a “five things I like about you” blog tag.

For what it’s worth, I like you personally and professionally before and after this, I’m not really hot and bothered, just a bit shocked by your reaction.

Actually, Jeremiah, I got 8 hours last night. I have found reading your posts since the stock market crashed to be 1) painfully off about the economic reality and 2) creating several off spin posts, and what I deem to be over dramaticization of the economic reality. But hey this is a rant on my personal blog, not a professional criticism.
