Excited to Ignite at Blackbaud 2010

I’m getting ready for my Ignite presentation at Blackbaud 2010, party of the opening sessions on Wednesday, October 21 for this great nonprofit conference. The Ignite presentations and ensuing panel are following NTEN Executive Director Holly Ross‘s sure to be stellar keynote. Holly gave me a heads up on what she’s talking about, including Mad Men, mathematical formulas, and hamsters. This will be interesting, I am sure!

Afterward, five us will give Ignite-style 5 minute, 20 slide presentations and then sit down and discuss on a panel. I will be joined by:

  • Matthew Mahan, vice president of impact at Causes
  • Noah Everett, founder of TwitPic
  • Claire Williams Diaz who works on social innovation at Twitter
  • Brian Dresher, director of business development at Mashable.com
  • As an Ignite veteran and co-organizer of Ignite DC 5 (and soon to be 6), this will be awesome! I remember my first Ignite session, and while it was good, I’m looking to up the ante for Blackbaud attendees. My presentation will focus on using multiple media in an online effort, but I am looking for great visuals for my slides. So if you know of a cause or foundation that has had an outstanding Facebook, Twitter or YouTube effort, let me know below, and I’ll try to feature them in my presentation.

I am also looking forward to the Thursday keynote sessions from Philippe Cousteau and my colleague and Zoetica CEO Beth Kanter and her cohort in crime, Allison Fine. Blackbaud 2010 looks to be a promising conference, so if you are in DC next week come on by.
