The First DC Water Station
This Anacostia River water plant was built in the early 20th century as a slow sand filter plant. A sign there says it was DC’s first water station.
Fountains on Fire
You can find these fountains outside of Nationals Park on the Anacostia River Waterfront. The orange and red lights make them seem like they are on fire.
